The Levin Zen Do Kai Rapid Arnis club held there last and final internal Zen Do Kai grading tonight at there Levin Dojo.As of 2010 all gradings will be done at a Dau Draig family grading or Senjo.We had 3 students attempting there next grade 2 juniors and a senior.I am glad to report all 3 achieved there next rank.

We brought a crew of 8 to this event with 2 blue belts participating in the grading and the rest helping on the grading panal.
Our blue belts passed there grade WELL DONE

I hear on the martial art grapevine that a certain Kyoshi from Palmerston North was inducted into the martial art hall of fame held in Wanganui on Sat night 7th nov 2009, although he was absent (in America). Congratulations!
2009 Matsushima Kyokushinkai New Zealand Champs;
We (Patea dojo) attended a two day tournement held by "Davies Karate" in Hamilton on the 19th and 20th sept.
With various styles from Auckland,Hamilton,Tauranga,Taumaranui,Hastings,Wellington,Christchurch,Patea,Hawera,Raglan,Tuhoe,Hawkesbay and a team from Australia, there were hundreds of competetors and a packed out stadium both days.
I'm doing a training class for any 2nd degree who's looking at training for 3rd degree. Currently have 6 people attending from Seiha / Taua families and want to open it out to any other 2nd degree who wants to come along.

SENJO ’09
On Saturday 8th August 2009, we will be hosting the Annual Senjo Gradings again in Wellington.
Once again, we have secured the Royal New Zealand Police College and the doors will be open from 8.00am
Gradings start at 9.00am and the order will be the same as last year commencing with the 5th-1st dan gradings, then the juniors, followed by the adult coloured ranks.
