Excellent Camp
Well I had a good time with it all. Good to see that people are prepared to travel more than a few hours to get to camp.
I had a good time teaching people (and hope they enjoyed what I taught them). I still am slightly bemused when I realise that I was the second highest ranked there ... sometimes consistent work takes you places you never thought you could go :-)
Teaching people helps me refine what I know and I can learn from that .. I do admit though I could spend some more time learning from other people especially some of the up and coming ranks ... look to what you know and develop it further, find a strength and build that, share it and help us all grow.
I wanted to spend a bit more time with Darren (?) from Patea going over that Bo kata he was doing ... nice stuff. Wanted to join in with the stuff on Saturday night .. looked like fun (eh, Renshi Bill?)
The theme of Conquering really brought some concepts together, a lot of the sessions built on each other ... which is the way it happens in Zen Do Kai anyway.
Sometimes there is just not enough time to cover everything .. but good effort all round people :-)
